Eco-Responsible
La Belle Rodriguaise is committed to sustainable development and the promotion of responsible tourism. Through various daily actions, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and reduce our ecological footprint. We use glass bottles to reduce plastic waste, install photovoltaic panels for our electricity consumption, and implement aquaponics systems for fresh produce supply.
- Waste Reduction: We have implemented a waste sorting system and reduce the use of disposable
products by prioritizing reusable alternatives. - Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products: We use non-toxic cleaning products, such as vinegar, to protect the health of our guests and the environment.
- Guest Awareness: Upon arrival, guests are informed about our eco-friendly practices and encouraged to participate by reusing towels and linens, and reducing water consumption.
- Water Conservation: We are committed to reducing water waste with water-saving devices, such as low-flow showerheads and dual-flush toilets. We also collect rainwater and treat wastewater.
- Sustainable Gardening: We have established an organic aquaponics garden to grow herbs and vegetables used in our restaurant.
- Renewable Energy: We maximize the use of renewable energy, notably through the installation of solar panels.
- Sustainable Transport: We encourage the use of public transportation, such as buses, as well as hiking and sailing for boat trips, reducing the use of motors.
- Local Partnerships: We collaborate with local village suppliers to reduce the carbon footprint from transport and to support the local economy.
- Employee Education: We regularly train our staff on sustainable practices to ensure their engagement and awareness.
